Timothy Blanton, Ma, LPC
Tim is a licensed professional counselor who has been practicing in central and southern Missouri for over 10 years. He specializes in marriage and family therapy, recognizing the importance of healthy family dynamics to mental wellbeing. Tim also provides individual therapy for kids, teens, and adults. He integrates elements of person-centered and cognitive-behavioral therapy to give clients space to explore feelings, make discoveries, and take steps to achieve their mental health goals.
Tim earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in 2014. As a Christian, he values the role faith can play in mental wellness and emphasizes emotionally healthy approaches to spirituality. Tim follows the example of Jesus in respecting those who embrace different faiths or no particular faith at all. As a military veteran and former law enforcement, Tim is well acquainted with and dedicated to serving to the mental health needs of current and former military and law enforcement personnel.
For Tim, counseling is more than a career, it’s a calling.
